June 5, 2021 (For real this time)

UPDATE FOUR:

Hello Mora & Tan Wedding Guests,

On May 12, 2021, we sent you all an email asking you all to reply to the Dinner Options Google Form we sent (click here). If you did not receive an email, please let us know ASAP. We would like folks to reply by May 21, 2021.

Also, a few of you had trouble using the PayPal link for our Wishing Well. If you have the app on your phone, the PayPal link will go directly to the app. However, the app is having some issues, but the PayPal link works on the regular website in a browser.

Additionally, the CDC announced today that vaccinated people can be unmasked in most indoor situations. Because every adult attending our wedding will be fully vaccinated we are considering making our mask policy optional if local Portland laws allow it. However, we know you may have concerns around this change so please reach out to us if an optional mask policy for fully vaccinated adults would impact your comfort in attending the wedding and we will be happy to chat.

See you all soon!

Maribel and Andrew

UPDATE THREE:

Hello Mora & Tan Wedding Guests,

Thank you all for RSVP’ing and keeping us informed. We especially appreciate those that reached out to discuss precautions and safety measures.

A few of you have also asked about the dress code. Cocktail attire! Your Sunday best is also highly encouraged.

Also, be on the lookout for an email requesting menu choices in May.

UPDATE TWO:

Hello Mora & Tan Wedding Guests:

We are excited to let you all know that we will be getting married on June 5, 2021. As you can imagine, this has been a taxing and stressful time for us as we have spent the last 18 months trying to predict the future in an extremely uncertain time.

After speaking with the coordinators of our original venue, Hotel Deluxe, they informed us the venue would not be available to anyone in the coming months. They were able to move our event to The Sentinel, a hotel that also belongs to the same company as Hotel Deluxe.

However, if we move forward with the wedding, we have to follow CDC guidelines, Oregon guidelines, and other rules the hotel has about social distancing. Here are some key changes:

  • First, the location of the ceremony and the reception will now be The Sentinel:
  • Click Here for the Map. It will still be in downtown Portland.
  • The Sentinel is honoring our hotel discount. You can use CELEBRATE21 if you choose to stay at the hotel.
  • We are drastically cutting the guest list. This has been the most difficult part because we wanted everyone there to celebrate with us.
  • Expect to use a mask.

Both Andrew and I take CDC guidelines very seriously. We love a good party, but we are going to be very strict. Many of you have already been vaccinated, however we are aiming to make sure everyone who attends this wedding will at least have begun the vaccination process as early evidence points to efficacy even after the first shot of a two dose vaccine. Although the vaccine protects your immunity, it is something we are taking very seriously as many people will be traveling to join us. Due to the evolving nature of the pandemic, we are requesting vaccinations for everyone who has access to the vaccine to protect the safety of everyone attending as early evidence also points to the vaccines reducing transmissibility.

Please let us know if you plan to attend the wedding by 4/1 by filling out the RSVP form so we can make plans and adjust our guest count accordingly.

If you are opting out of receiving the vaccine, we invite you to attend virtually. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out and we will be more than happy talk to you.

Thank you all so much,
